1. Membership & Subscriptions

By creating an account with 8th Trail Hiking Community, you agree to provide accurate personal information. Membership subscriptions are optional and provide access to member pricing, priority booking, and other benefits described on the Subscription page. Subscription fees are non-refundable once a payment is confirmed, except where required by law.

2. Event Participation & Assumption of Risk

Hiking and outdoor activities carry inherent risks, including but not limited to uneven terrain, weather conditions, wildlife, and physical exertion. By registering for an event, you acknowledge these risks and confirm that you are physically able to participate. 8th Trail Hiking Community and its organisers are not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage arising from participation, except where caused by our proven negligence.

3. Payments

Event and subscription payments are processed through our third-party payment gateway. We do not store your card or mobile money credentials. Prices are quoted in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) and are payable in full at the time of registration unless otherwise stated. Refunds for cancelled events are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us directly to request one.

4. Guest Registrations

You may register and pay for an event without creating an account. Guest registrations are tied to the email address provided at checkout, which is used to deliver your ticket and payment confirmation. We recommend creating a full account if you plan to attend events regularly.

5. Photos & Media

Photos taken at our events may be published in our gallery and on our public website and social media for promotional purposes. If you'd prefer not to be included, let an event organiser know on the day, or contact us to have a specific photo removed.

6. Conduct

We expect all members and guests to treat fellow hikers, guides, and the environment with respect. We reserve the right to refuse registration or membership to anyone who violates this expectation.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
